Dick Waterman is an active supporter of the East Lyme Community and boy does he love puppets. Dick is not only a WWII veteran, but he also taught history in the East Lyme Elementary School for 30 years where directed school plays. Currently, he’s on the East Lyme Library Foundation and East Lyme Historical Society. He’s a beekeeper too and makes his own honey.
Dick helped found ELPPI in 2013 and developed it to a non-profit intended to educate and inspire children through puppetry. He wrote his first original puppet piece, “The Secret”, which is currently in production.
